Dear all:
I have a Devo 8s with deviation 2.1.1, modified with v911 module. Though it binds with my hubsan X4 easily, all sticks, channels are not working(the throttle bar moves but nothing happened to the motors). I tried everything I know, rebuild a model, deviation 2.0, 2.1, even the model configs people posted on the board but in vain. The throttle just has no responds. I am sure that I installed deviation correctly for my super cp, mini cp, ladybirds are doing fine.
What can I do for the next ? Thanks.

do you see the proper channels moving if you look at the output-channel page (not the main page) Throttle is channel 3.
if so, post your tx.ini and your model.ini

If it binds, then it should fly.

I'm Japanese.
I have been using the machine translation does not understand English.
Please forgive me.

Are having the same problem as Mr. Resonance in DEVO6S too.
The module is A7105-500m.
Installing the module was referring to here.

www.deviationtx.com/forum/how-to/1228-fl...th-pics-devo-8s#4423

Exactly the same as Mr. Resonance, the motor I do not even turn up the throttle has been the bind.

I also check the channel setting.
I'll post a model.ini and tx.ini.

I I do not know what is wrong.

Please Help

Well, using the supplied ini, my X4 seems to work fine.
When you turn on the X4 and then the Tx, you see the lights flash and then go solid blue, and the tx detects the hubsan and exits binding mode? If so that implies that the module is properly installed and that your X4 behaves in some way differently to mine.

We do use random channel selection, so you might try power cycling the Rx/Tx to see if that helps.
I guess it is possible that they blacklisted my Txid in recent versions, since I hardcoded it in the code, but that honestly seems unlikely. Someone posted some info in the protocol thread on RCGroups, maybe I'll find something there.

I can try some variations and see if any of them help, but since I can't reproduce the issue, it will be hard for me to debug.

I forgot to be important.
It is HiTEC Q4 Quadcopter which my body is sold in Japan, and there is.
It is OEM of Hubsan.

www.hitecrcd.co.jp/RC/weekender/Q4/index.htm

A logo of Hubsan becomes available to a main board and is printed with EA4000362.
A board does not have the notation of the version.

For your information.

I've built a test-build for you to try, but 1st you must move to the latest 'nightly' build, and install the nightly dfu and filesystem and test whether you still have the issues. Once you have the nightly installed and verified, you can install the following DFU which probably won't help, but you never know.

dfu in deviation-devo6-hubsan.zip was installed.
A state does not change.
The display of a character is unusual.
devo6.elf carries out what?

you need this too:
www.deviationtx.com/repository/Deviation...o8-902f21aea8fe.zip/

that should fix the display.

ignore the elf file.

But if it didn't work, I am not sure how to proceed

Sorry for the late, it's Chinese New Year.

My main board printed with EA4000363 V3. Maybe it's a more latest version.

I just installed the nightly build but all the same. I can see all the output channels work while the corresponding sticks move without error report but nothing happened.

Sadly, maybe, they did change the protocol otherwise mine is a fake clone.

Anyway, thanks for your kindly help.

I have not improved, either.
If a new base arrives, I try once again.
Thank you.

I have just received a Hubsan today, I have the same problem, seems to bind but also I get no throttle. Devo8s with v911 mod, V2.1.0 using the ini files here. I will install the latest nightly just now and let you know, so far no throttle though. I have flown it sucessfully with the stock tx it came with.

Just tried the nightly deviation-devo8-3f20e88faf66 and can confirm there is still no throttle, tx shows outputs on the screen correctly.

So it appears they changed the protocol.
Not much I can do to help except to get my hands on one of these new X4. Since there is no guarantee when ordering what I'll get, I'm not inclined to buy a 2nd.

So that leaves us with:
1) someone sells me one of their non-functional X4s
2) Someone (in the US) loans me one of their non-functional X4s
3) someone with a Logic Analyzer captures the traces so I can see the differences

:-) I am in South Africa so a bit far for the loan or sending one, the logic analyzer is a maybe but no time soon just yet unfortunately. Will just have to hang in there. In the meantime for the record, here is some info on my hardware, on the motherboard tx is printed EA4000166, then on the rx board is printed EA4000363 then the rx board component side is attached - not too clear on the photo the ic numbers so I wrote alongside.

Hi PhracturedBlue,
I have the same problem with my Devo 10 with deviation 2.1.1 firmware and v911 mod.

I have a functional EA4000362 board, a non-functional EA4000362 board and a non-functional EA4000363V3-4812 board. They are all functional with a stock Tx (This Tx came with my first and only RTF X4 which has EA4000362 board).

If you don't have non-functional X4 yet,
I can loan you my non-functional EA4000362 board (board only ;) ) by Airmail from Japan.
What do you think ?

That is interesting. so there is something in the protocol that I'm missing if they all work with the same Tx.
Sure if you want to loan me one of your boards, I'll take a look. I'll PM you the info

Anybody tried increase throttle channel scale? For example -110 ~ +110. It is possible that model ESC calibrated to more throttle travel and board doesn't initialise properly, it can consider that throttle is too high.

Also, you can try switch on Tx, full throttle, then connect flight battery, wait model initialisation, then lower throttle to minimum and disconnect battery. Sometimes it helps calibrate ESC in others micro models.

Nope on these, I also tried variants of the scale, tried different ID. tried no ID, tried all this also with THR up or DOWN, or bind with THR up and then lower as you say similar to some small micro helis but nothing.

I must mention the X4 does definately bind, if you plug in the battery the blue lights in front of the X4 flash until you tx reinit/bind then they go solid and the tx beeps once.
