Next puzzle I am trying to solve:

I am running a Mini V-Bar with Lemon Rx DSM2 Sat's.

I was flying this around with a modded Devo 7e and everything was working great.

Now that I got a Devo 10 and switched to the Devo 10 I can not seem to get the Fail Safe to work properly.

Fail safe value is set to -100, same as it was on my Devo 7e, However, when I turn the Tx off to test this the heli powers up to about 10% power and spins at a very low headspeed.

What could possibly be the issue? Any ideas?

I think you will have to dig into this issue a little more. And I don't believe it has to do with Deviation or the Devo radio.

There's a couple of points for failsafe from what I understand.

Failsafe for when signal is lost between RX and TX.

Failsafe for when signal is lost between RX and ESC.

In your case, I think you're talking about the Failsafe for when the signal between RX and TX.

Look into the Lemon RX failsafe. I remember it defaulting to the value when it was bound. Something like that.

Ok i'll try that route. I bound with TH on so it should work if that is the case.

Yes I am talking about when Tx and Rx loose signal.

Thank you for the response! I find it weird that it did not have this issue when I was running the 7e.

The travel adjust settings (scale+ and scale- on the channel setup page) might effect the failsafe value. Assure they are the same too...

Well I feel silly. I forgot to reset the "Fail safe value" button in the VStabi software.

When I went through initially it didnt offer the option but now it did.

Works perfectly again.

Thanks guys!

If you run a nightly build, the dsm protocols will not exit after binding. What happens is that they go through the binding procedure, and then start transmitting failsafe values until you move the stick. This was done so that it can work with all DSM* Rx. You need to read the manual for yours, as each Rx saves the failsafe differently.
