the switch code is to do with switching modules for the new multi module board they are creating, this is nothing to do with the 2way or 3way switches unfortunately. hopefully they add a build switch to remove this as it has taken up some space the new compiler provided, and if your not using the new board it's not needed

Is the switch patches somehow added to the main repo?

Nothing to do with the 3way switch. that thread is related to having a single transmitter module with all protocols supported. It does so by using a programmable switch which is what I'm discussing there,

Harry,

Does this build : //Updated build to 6ba8eab january 18th 2014 contains the new code for the multi-module board ?

Thanks.

You really shouldn't call this thread 4.0.1 if you are going to include development code. It is very likely that the new code will destabilize Deviation, and user's should be aware they re not getting the official release + patch but instead a bunch of experimental code + patch.
4.0.1 appears to e a very stable release, and it is recommended that users switch to it.
My development code includes experimental stuff which hasn't been thoroughly tested.

I love getting the testing feedback and it is what makes it posisble to make the next release stable, but users need to be informed they are taking a larger risk when using development code.

I agree with you PB, but this saves me from having to patch and build the latest code so I can give you some feedback, and have the 3-way switch included.

So I'm a Happy ( :D ) camper.

Thx Phil.

i have changed the title of the threads to indicate that they are tracking the codebase, and i have rebuilt the 4.0.1 versions and posted them in another thread here >> www.deviationtx.com/forum/builds/2637-7e...layout-ed-perm-timer

so if anyone doesn't want to help test the new code just revert back to the 4.0.1 versions i have in the post linked above :)

due to phracturedblue's great work, from tonights nightly build onwards these builds will be no longer needed as all extra switch combinations are covered in the main code, so these posts wont be updated.

please see this thread for all future updates >>
