What potentiometers did you use? Did you buy them off BG?
Thanks!

Edit: I was able to find it here so I'm good but note I even tried clearing my catch and the link still didnt work, it throws a strange looking error, just FYI.

as for the pots it seems bangood has every taranis spare part bar the front pots (they have the side slider pots but these have only 90deg of throw) but you can get taranis front pots from aliexpress here >>
taranis x9d pots
as well as lots of other places that sell taranis spare parts. you can also use the hobbyking pots for the turnigy x9r, but they are out of stock atm>>
turnigy 9xr pots
and these are the ones silpstream linked me too when I asked him previously
5kohm pots
but afaik any 5kohm pot in this size range will work, so perhaps any of these might work >>
BG 5k pot
and these (if they fit as they are slightly bigger than the rest) BG 5k pot 2

Took a old socket / plug and glued it in place then ran my 4 wires to that (yes I know I could of gotten GND from the rear cover but I had enough pins so why not).
BTW who can spot my stupid mistake and how I fixed it? Hint: no pictures are mirrored....

Edit: Where can I report bugs in your custom build? I've found a big one (not complaining, just wanting to be as helpful as I can).

You need two cpu pins for the pots and one pin for the cns line of the 4th Rf module, were did you connect that one?
The extra switches do not need addional I/O just re-wiring and diodes.
Next step would be to add the DFplayer, voice module,? I assume the new cpu should be able to handle it, would be tight and compact unit.....

The 4th module connections are the same as the stock devo7e. There has been success with PB3 and PA15 from what I remember. Either should be fine as long as you update hardware.ini.
The voice module will probably need the modification for the DSC port. I'm not sure if it is ready yet. It will definitely fit on the u7e processor, but I'm not sure if anyone on that project has tried implementing for the u7e. I'll take a quick look later at the code.

Cereal_Killer wrote: The pots REQUIRE calibration before working but they should work, even with the incorrect switch wiring.
Just found out re-calibration requirement before seeing your post. The pots are working fine now. Thanks you!
BTW, the build "[HappyHarry]Ultimate7e Deviation5.0.0-fcfdb6e-Switchmods 25th May" didn't work properly with original 3x2 switch mods. I changed to "[silpstream]Ultimate7e-v5.0.0: Test Builds" and everything is working fine, including 3x2 switch mods.

silpstream wrote: @phantom8, would you mind testing HappyHarry's 31st may build and let me know if it works. That's the latest after the mods were added to the main trunk. I only have 1 7e configured for 6 switches so can't physically test it. Thanks for the help!
Just tested the "[HappyHarry]Ultimate7e Deviation5.0.0-720b78f 31st May" built. It's working fine with the original 3x2 switch mod.
