DEVO 12E white was created by dlawso
Hi I have a Devo-12E (white) and wanted to use the firmware from Devo12E TestBuild. Unfortunately, no USB logo only screen darker the so remained even switching off. By removing the battery then I could loaden the original firmware again. Can one help me? :(

Hmm. I had hoped the 12E would use the same screen from the 10 (the internals look the same). Let me look into it some more and see what I can do.

Sorry, I forgot to check on this.
I have looked it over, and I don't see anything obviously wrong. I uploaded a new 12e build but I doubt it will work any better. But if you are willing to try several builds, we can try to narrow down where the issue is.

When I flashed deviation to my DEVO 10, I turned it on and the screen was extremely dim, couldn't see diddly-squat. I had to edit the tx.ini file so that I could see what was on the screen. I set the brightness (backlight) to 1, and the contrast to 10, to get what I thought were good settings.

You might try that, and save the edited tx.ini back to the Tx. Hopefully, that will work.

If the power switch doesn't work, then the problem is likely in the initialization routines somewhere, as the watchdog/switch monitor are started reasonably early in the process. Also, it is likely the USB mode isn't working either, so there is no tx.ini to monitor.

I would guess that I could get it fixed up in an hour or so if I had one in front of me. It is a lot harder to do through the internet.

...but was the root folder of the Tx discovered by File Explorer on his PC when he attempted USB mode, and he just didn't look for it there?

Just thinking out loud here.

Hey PhracturedBlue,
Unfortunately, it works with the new firmware does not. My display is dark and I can start the channel again after removing the battery.

Ok, let's try this:
deviationtx.com/downloads-new/category/1...est-build-usb-no-lcd

It doesn't turn the LCD on, but should light the backlight and switch into USB mode on power up. If that works, it will confirm the issue is isolated to the LCD driver. Let me know if that works.
Also the power switch should work
