Wireless Trainer mode possible? was created by Wene001
Hello out there
I`m brainstorming about Wireless Trainer Mode without extra hardware(sum signal receiver on ppm in).
Is it possible to receive the signal from another Tx and use it as Mixer input , so there ist a peferkt way to use it as wireless Trainer solution.
Mixing Signal from two TXs would be quite cool.
www.walkera.com/en/showgoods.php?id=448
on this site i read "wireless data transfer"
i`m using deviation from the first minute i own my devo8s and devo6s
so i cant say anything about this feature.
Is wireless datatransfer using the standart TX/RX Module ??
on this site
www.walkera.com/en/showgoods.php?id=451
i read:
5) Wireless data transfer and trainer function between two transmitters
I hope another people want to see the wireless trainer solution in this cool firmaware too.

The "wireless data transfer" is for transfering model data from one tx to an other identical one.
However they don't transmit to the model in the meantime...
Some protocols do transmit a lot. For example the devo protocol transmit every 2.4ms, and even receives the telemetry data between the packages!
I think there wouldn't be enough time (and horse power for the matter) to receive the trainer data too...

There is not wireless trainer function. At any Walkera Tx manual:
1) Data copy - see section 'model wireless copy'.
2) Connection
Insert the signal wire into the DSC socket of the trainee's transmitter...

While on the DEVO 7E page, for which Wene001 link pointed, there indeed was something like that (it's down at the moment), I don't find anything similar in the 7E manual, but the wireless model data transfer...

I Think i make my wireless Trainer solution with a HK-TR6A Flysky Receiver from Hobbyking with PPM-SUM signal on the BAT connector to feed the DSC in at my DEVO8. (Eventually put it inside the case) The kiddies are usin a DEVO6 with a v911 Modul.
Waiting for the PPM in feature :-)in Deviation

Yep, I agree, first the PPM in from the DSC port is the more important...

Thanks to hmjack2008
But i dont unterstand how to make my own build.
I`m using the latest DSMX Build from this forum.
If anyone can compile me a DSMX build for my Devo6s with this "ppm in" feature included then i would test it
Thanks
