I just got myself a new toy:
www.redcatracing.com/Earthquake-8E-Truck
It uses the Turnigy 3-channel pistol transmitter.
I plan to open it up and see if I can get it working with Deviation, as I believe the 3ch uses a different protocol than the 9x.
I am not sure whether this is the same protocol that the WLToys uses or not though.

I do know the Hobbyking GT-2 3ch rx binds with 9x and Deviation, even flown in close <200m proximity with them on foam wing type planes.

DSM-2C TX and RX looks like the Flysky GT2 (or HK-GT2) Transmitter wich is 100 % compatible with the Flysky Protocol in Deviation

@PhracturedBlue
Did you get this to work? If so, what protocol did you use? This is exactly what I have, an Earthquake 8E. Have two 6500 batteries, and it has way too much power.
