Anylink with Devo 8s

Can anyone tell me if anylink is compatible with Devo 8s? Do I need the external power (life) cable? Is it the spektrum cable? One of the AA batteries exploded in the rtf tx with my flyzone se5a destroying the tx. Im on vacation for a week, no wind, and now no tx. I could really use some help. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you need the external power cable. The devo does not provide power out on the charging jack.

Having said that, when I had the devo8 I stole power from the internal battery pack and just used a servo extension cable that I left inside the battery compartment.

This is an old thread but the cable that you made to externally power the Anylink - is that basically a jst cable in parallel with the servo plug? Thanks.
