What's the easiest way for me to get PPM, 5v? was created by ummagawd

On my devo 10... i'd like to run openLRS which is looking for PPM, 5v, and GND.

Does the trainer port provide all these? or just the PPM signal?

You can get ppm, but only 3.3v. you can try to see if it is enough (3.3v may actually trigger as a logical 1 in many implementations)

Are you implying that I can get 3.3v out of that trainer port? What about gnd?

Also, would the best way to find out which signal is which, via a multi-meter (and just hunt the 3.3v, -3.3v would be gnd, and then anything other than 3.3v is PPM?

Will I be able to get this from cutting up the supplied DCS cable?

There is no supply voltage on the trainer port, he only talked about the PPM signal level...
