Devo 10 bricked was created by Adriaan
Hi,
today I received my Devo10. Tested it with stock firmware, everything was fine...
Then I tried to flash Dev3.0 as described in the manual.
3-4 Seconds after pressing the upgrade button (I think the tool was just erasing the old FW), the tool stopped with an error (wrong machine state or such thing).
After that the Devo just showed "upgrades" in her Display when I switched her on, even without pressing "ext" at startup.
After reading some posts here, I tried to press the "ent" button an to start her up, that killed her totaly.
Nothing happens now when I turn her on, no matter if pressing ext or ent...its dead.

Any ideas what I could do? (tried to flash back stock FW, removed batteries for a while etc, even the PC does no more recognize the devo)

Bought another D10 from a local dealer.
It seems that the bricked d10 was a counterfeit. The Devo menu was a little different and in the battery tray there were no qc-stickers as in my new D10.
So be carefull to buy at a reliable dealer !

I've never heard about a fake devo tx, however there is a counterfeit warning on the Walkera site:

I know this warning, a counterfeit would be the only idea why the devo got bricked.
Look and feel was very similar, but at some points at the menu and the display behavior there where little differnces to my new D10

Hi
Sounds like your having a bad time of it.
I recently trashed my Devo7e loader but PB has posted enough info that I've been able to get it running again and with help from FDR. Turns out very easy to do using cheap tools.
This would be best option STlink (clone) upgrades using ST firmware. Honestly we all should just get one :-)

Or you can use USB to serial 3.3v would be best and easier. I used 5v without issue. There very cheap indeed!!! If you have Arduino the serial used with them could be used too.

If its a clone and they just used normal DFU loader. Deviation firmware what ever version you use would trash your TX. Its been encrypted to work with Walkera DFU loader. Maybe we could just compile DFU without the encryption!? . Either way we can past it :-) my devo7e is running OK without any loaders.
If you have little time to spare I'm willing to help?
Could you take some picture of the PCB?
