fixed wing e.g f3a -devo 8 fit the bill?

Good day all
I figured joining this forum would be the best way to answer my question(s). I am in the market for a new radio, however I dont fly helis, fly mainly f3a pattern, warbirds and the occasional thermal soarer. I was originally thinking of the turnigy 9x (upgraded) but the walkera seems to be a better option. The frsky taranis was my first choice but seems impossible to get (out of stock everywhere) so;
1. How suited would the radio be for this application, with deviation loaded?
2. What range could I expect, I understand that deviation can boost the power but wouldnt that compromise other flyers?
3. What do the gimbals feel like when compared to say a futaba or jr?
4. What is the resolution and latency of this radio?
5. In general, how would the devo8s with deviation compare to a frsky taranis?
I should perhaps also state that my planes are generally .60 sized, mostly electric but a few glow, however I may be looking to get something larger in future- hence the need for confidence regarding safety. Thanks for any help

2. Power increasing does not compromise other rc TX that depends more how the channel hopping is realised and perhaps how the binding Id is implemented.
3.Gimbals and Hardware are very good ( devo 8s ) better than Taranis.
4. Depends on choosen Protokol
5. I have the Taranis and the devo 8s, hardware on devo is better Gimbals are equal
Gui on devo is much better, thanks PB for this great Development. Taranis is way more flexible, has sound, easy to use and cheap telemetrie stuff but is limited to the frsky Protokol.
