Change Stick Mode was created by Tom Z
I want to change one of my V4 models from Stick Mode 2 to Mode 1.
Can I simply edit the ini file to do this and if so how?
I loaded the model in the V4 emulator and switched Stick Mode 2 to Mode 1 but I don't see any changes that were made anywhere. Also I am now getting get a notice of Ch 3 being 0 not -100.

stick mode only changes which sticks are labeled as AIL, THR, RUD, and ELE. It will not affect the model at all. If the channel ordering on a model is wrong, you need to assigne the mixers to different channels. In the dveo8 this can be done with the channel reordering. On the devo10 you need to do it manually or by hacking the ini file.

You change mode in the transmitter settings: left upper corner on the main page...

If someone downloaded my model made for Stick Mode 2 and needs Stick Mode 1
would all they would have to do is load my model into their transmitter then change Stick Mode in the transmitter settings to Stick Mode 1 and they are all set to fly?

The model configs are independent from the transmitter settings, so they can use your model configs without anything to do...

Stick mode is a transmitter function, not a model function. So any model loaded will work as long as the channels assignments haven't been moved. You typically won't see anything different in the model selection because Throttle is still Throttle, etc. It is the transmitter that decides that the left stick up/down is throttle in mode 2 and right stick up/down in mode 1. It's still the throttle.
Oops, FDR beat me to it.

Thanks everyone for the help!!!
Someone messaged me and needs stick mode 1 for my model so I can now tell him to load the model and change stick mode in the transmitter.
I will add a note about this in my posts with the my models.
Thanks again.
