Devo 10 tx not recognized

I've been trying to update my devo 10 tx and have followed all the vids and instructions out there. Everything runs smoothly till i plug in my tx to my laptop then the software will not see my tx !! I have tried numerous ways to get the tx up but to no avail. The tx screen shows nothing more than "program update" any idea's as to how to resolve ?
