I'm currently on Deviation 3, but eager to install 4.x.x with all its enhancements, but as it's all new and shiny I'd like to know if I can trust it.
So, what's your experience? Is it time to upgrade?

It' a stable release and I've been happily using it for several weeks already.

It's been working good for me so far flying my Walkera Mini CP/Master CP/V120D02S V2/Ladybird and DJI F450 w/KK2.0 and Spektrum Rx.

While I may be biased, 4.0.1 is a lot more stable than 3.0 (mostly due to the work of other members of the board). I have not had a single report of reboot during flight on it. There are 2 reboot reports on 4.0.1 both while editing menus, doing uncommon actions, and can be easily avoided until I release a fix.

4.0.1 in a devo12s, nothing but soild with my helis and planes. Rx types include 2801pro, 2801E, devo1002 (with telem modual), devo1202, 2636, AR2700BX.

A friend of mine, that bought a deviated devo8s from me, has had no problems with his big planes using orange rx units (HK spectrum type). I also just bought another 8s for another guy that wants to use it with spectrum rx's.

I had to pick up another 8s for myself to have as back-up and for simming.

4.0.1 "ROCKS!!!"

just curious where you buy your devo 8s from and what kind of price are you getting. The reason I ask is wow hobby has them for around 239.99 and there is a seller on ebay for 209.00 , both come with recievers ,801 for wow hobby and the 802 for the ebay unit.

Thanks

miracle-mart is 199.00 and free shipping if you can wait, I bought my 8S and 10 there. Hobbywow is 197.89 and currently there is 5% off that atm. I have ordered other stuff there, both were good experiences.

I picked up a Devo10 for 150.12 shipped with all the cables and a rx1002 reviver. @ebay
I was planning on a 8s until i learned the screen was hard to see in the sun ( like most smart phones ) just an option the 10 also has telemetry.
.
For now i am waiting it's arrival  when the Ups shows up I will be like :woohoo:
