I'm trying to bind to my 4F200LM with the RX2618V-D receiver. How do I do this?

Select the DEVO protocol, and clear the Fixed ID box...

Thanks for replying. The issue I'm having is clearing the fixed id on the receiver. The receiver did not come with a bind plug. I tried using a spectrum bind plug in the 5v and elevator channels and neither worked (ie led was still flashing fast instead of slow). Any suggestions?

There are different Walkera "unbind" plugs: some of them has the signal connected to the ground and some to the supply.

The user manual of the heli used to contain information about clearing the fixed id...

Yes, in case of the DEVO protocol the fixed id is the same as it was in the stock fw.

Still unable to bind to the RX2618V-D receiver. I reinstalled the stock DEVO firmware and retrieved the fixed id. I also confirmed with the stock firmware that I could still bind to the receiver..and it did. Reinstalled the Deviation firmware and updated the model with the fixed id that was used in the stock firmware. Saved the model in model #1 and powered off the transmitter. Turned on transmitter loaded model #1 and then powered up the receiver. Still unable to bind. LED on receiver still flashing rapidly. Any other ideas? It is unfortunate the I don't have a bind plug so that I could clear the fixed id on the receiver. I also looked for the correct bind plug for this receiver on the internet and can't find one. This is really frustrating. I would love to get this working so that I can proceed and setup other models with DSM2 and DSMX protocols. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :(

OK I finally was able to clear the fixed if on the receiver. I modified the spectrum bind plug so that it uses the white & red pins and this worked. I was then able to bind to my devo 10 with deviation firm ware. :cheer: now it looks that all the cyclic servos need to be readjusted...they are all way off centre (negative) and there is hardy any travel on all three. If I recall I had to re-centre the cyclic servos with the stock firm ware when I set the transmitter and receiver to use the fixed id. Is this normal?

One other question....I'm not clear applying a fixed ID in the deviation firm ware. Do I just enter a random fixed id and select the bind button?

Thanks so much for your assistance FDR.

You shouldn't have to adjust anything on the helicopter after installing the deviation firmware. It sounds like you have a setup problem in your model ini file or maybe an incorrect setting in the transmitter.
Also make sure your trims are all centered and calibrate your sticks.

I have a lot of models posted including some for the Walkera 4F200LM.

You can also post your model file here so we can take a look at it.

It sound as if you have a heli setup issue. Normally the servos should be centered when pitch, aileron and elevator output channels have the value 0. If this is not the case, you should work on the mechanics to correct this (and make only the last very small corrections with subtrim). The fact that you had do do this with the stock firmware too tells me that the problem is not the software.
And with fixed ID: yes, you can choose a random number (6 digits). Keep it different with the IDs of other models so you can't accidentally bind a wrong config to your model.

Thanks for the set-ups. You would happen to have the same 4F200LM set-ups for the standard-GUI, would you? I'm trying to figure out and understand the advanced GUI and if I had the set-ups for both I could compare them. The documentation for the advance-GUI is complicated and not that easy to understand.

Your welcome.
I just have models made in the advanced GUI. The standard GUI doesn't have the features I need.

Also you can't change a current model from advanced GUI to standard GUI as it will reset (erase) the settings. If this could be done I would have posted some models in the standard GUI format for people to use.
