The model file and the mixer page show AIL as a source for ch. 5, but the Expo&DR page for that channel does not show AIL as a source.
This seems like a harmless glitch since AIL is not really acting as the source for ch. 5, but I can't seem to get rid of ch. 5's AIL from the Mixer page via transmitter programming. I know the file can be easily edited, but I'm just curious why or how this happened.

This is because the function is set to "fixed". This does not need a source so it is ignored. It has no influence to the mixer, but I agree: it is ugly.
I usually choose another function (like "1:1"), set a source I like (e.g. "GEAR") and set it back to "fixed". In the result "GEAR" appears in the overview. But as mentioned it is only a cosmetic issue.

At first firmwares by default source was 'None', later PB removed this option.

In the gui the source is still "None", but the corresponding field is not reset and therefor written in the model*.ini file.

I actually tried fixing this once, and it ended up being more complicated than I expected so I gave up at the time (I don't remember why). It is definitely a bug though. If you file a ticket on bitbucket, I'll get to it eventually

So changing the src to 'none is tricky because you can only do it when saving the mixer (otherwise the src gets reset while iterating through the spinbox). But the easy solution is to just mask it on the main mixer page instead. We already did that in the devo10 it turns out, so I just added it to the dveo8 too.
