Devo8 range issue was created by Jasen
I have had some transmission issues lately. I have Devo8s with Deviation 4.01. Originally I thought it was just a problem with my Walera V120D02s. I just install the internal nRF24L01 module to get away from using an HT8. Fly around the house everything looked good. This weekend I took my Walkera Master CP , my Hisky HFP/CP 80s, and new HCP100 out. They all had a range of about 125 feet. I switched back to the HT8 and had the range I use to. I do not think the issue is because of the mod, it was there prior to it. Either my Devo8s has gone bad on me or its not Happy with Deviation 4.01.

So which module has less range now? It's not exactly clear from your post.

Devo 10 + 4in1
Spektrum Dx9
FrSky Taranis + TBS Crossfire

The transmitter in general, no matter if its Walkera or Hisky Helicopters.

Yeah, but they use two independent RF modules, which shouldn't affect each other unless you put their antennas close together.

The tx without those RF modules doesn't have a range...

Did you set the tx power high enough?

I see your point. I was trying to say that all my helicopter seem to have a range issue. Using the HT8 I can fly further then I see. I set the transmit power to 150mw, I have been using 2s LIFE P04 to power the transmitter. I picked some Alkaline AAs and will try those this weekend, to rule out a power issue.

The battery shouldn't effect the RF power, since these RF modules usually operate from 3.3V...

Does your nRF24L01 module have power amplifier?

No eBay APP ID défined in Kunena configuration
Not that I am aware it is just one of basic ones from ebay. Also the issue began before installing Nrf24l01. I am curious if the Walkera transmitter module is going bad, since Nrf2401 is solder to it. Does the Nrf2401 use the circuit board antennae or is sharing the transmitter's antennae.

I give up, re-flashed the TX, triple checked the connections. I tried with some standard1.5v aa batteries, and various power settings each time the each bird would cut in and out at 100feet or less. Plugged back in the HT8 module and my hisky product flew perfect. I bit the bullet and found a new Devo 10 with RX for $153 shipped from a hobbypartz.com
