Link a Devo 10 to a Spektrum DX7 ? was created by Tom Z
Can I link my Devo 10 with deviation v4 firmware to my Spektrum DX7 and use the two transmitters to work as training function?
Would this be as easy as to plug the two radios together with the cable and make the correct settings in the transmitters?
I am assuming the deviation v4 firmware in the Devo 10 will emulate the Spektrum DX7 so it can link to the Spektrum DX7 transmitter.

Tom,
It should work, but what is needed is to figure out the channel order and the CenterPW and DeltaPW.
The easiest way to do it is to use the Devo as the master, and then look at the order of channels and range. If the range is wrong, adjust the deltaPW to increase/decrease the range. Getting the CenterPW right is basically just making sure the channels are zeroed.
Once you have them, you can apply this in the slave settings as well.
Generally, I think the defaults will get you pretty close though
Should there be more interest, what I was thinking is to have a set of template files (like we use for models and displays) to let us build a list of available configurations.
