Devo 10 dun bind was created by joeclone
I dropped my Devo 10 and now it dun bind with any of my models and there's no display on the lcd. I've removed the rear cover to check for loose connections and all looks ok. I've tried reflashing Deviation fw and reloading my model files and didn't help.
I can still go into update mode and usb mode but nothing else.
What others could I check for? Is there a way to reset the internal memory or something?

Any ideas guys? Is there anywhere to get replacement parts for the Devo 10? I'm thinking it could be the main board problem since it beeps on and the buttons does nothing after that.

Having a closer look at the pcb, could it be possible that the fall damaged the TKD 8.000 crystal and is preventing the tx to work correctly?

Your really not given out much info.

You can get into DFU so MCU is fine so Xtal is good. Your screen could be broken? No out put at all ? black line so on...

There's not much info to give actually, it just powers on with a beep and does nothing. Screen is blank only with the backlight on, no lines, nothing. If the screen is broken, logically I'd still be able to bind with my models right?

yeah but when pressing buttons did anything get changed. And you can't see screen you can't say for sure.

If you have emulator install on your pc Try doing button presses on pc and do same on Tx ?

Yes thats what I did, simulated with emulator and recreate the step on the tx without the screen. I've left the tx on with throttle up and no timer beeps so I'm pretty sure it does nothing after the power up beep. Pushing any of the buttons also dun get any beeps.

You can get a replacement Screen for 8s but don't know if anyone ever got 10 replacement screen. Rf module easy to get hold of.

You can use other screens and I have done 7e but haven't completed 8080 yet (still lack time/effort and details<<important bit)

Yea usb mode works as well, I'm able to get to the model and system files in the tx. Where is it possible to get replacement pcb/ module card?

not sure you can and another reason for my interest. The screens parts are very cheap you could get lcd for under $10 but there would be no interface between lcd and mcu and thats what I'm hoping to do. Ask walkera and wait and hope....

You installed an additional module, did`t you?
May be there is some shortage now. This will prevent the screen coming up too.
...I know this since I added my 7105-DO3 to DEVO7e.... ;-)

I've since tried removing both my add on modules and still no go. I even tried removing the stock rf module and still the same.

An update on this problem I was having, after more tests on the main board it has revealed that the MCU is burnt and I need to replace the STM chip. I need to know how do I proceed after replacing the chip, how do I get the DFU bootloader back and how's the connection and tools/software to do this?

If the STM chip was fried, you wouldn't have been able to flash the firmware or access the USB data. The fact that you can access the virtual drive means that deviation is actually running.
Chances are your PCB or some solder connection has a hairline crack in it. Basically invisible, but some vital line is broken.

Unfortunately thats what it ended up doing

I've since removed the chip and traced all power pads on the board and no shorts to indicate 5volts or main batt power going in and burning the MCU.

So my question now is how to bring a new replacement chip back to life?

Anyone can help to explain how I can get the replaced MCU up and running with Deviation?
