binding Devo 10 with AR7200BX, 2 queries.

Hi there, I've ordered an AR7200BX RX to run with my DEVO 10 with Deviation. I just wanted to ask if the TX needs to be set to DSMX 7 channels or 8 channels.

This is my first Spektrum product as I previously only used deviation to run the old WK protocol helis, so I wanted to ask what the binding process is with Devo 10 and AR7200BX as the Walkera process is different to the Spektrum DX process.

Set to DSMX 8 channels. For some reason microbeast/dsmx doesn't like 7.

For binding, I used a spectrum bind plug and I used fixed ID in transmitter.

Thanks for the answer, I thought the DX radios had a bind button, but there is nothing like that on a Walkera radio so I assume I use the bind function in the Deviation menu. Is that correct?

I think the Deviation DSMX "bind" feature is more like "re-enter-binding-mode". I think it will bind just on TX startup if the bind plug is in the RX. But if it doesn't bind on TX startup then certainly try hitting the bind menu option on TX.
