help with mating a walkera devo f12e with pixhawk was created by sparky
I am trying to setup my pixhawk px4 to run with my rx1202 that came with my devo f12e. I am trying to determine how to configure channels 1 through 8 between the rx and the tx. All very confusing. It would be nice if the devo f12e had a setup guide for a multirotor wouldnt it?
I have included a photo so you can see what it is I am trying to do. If anybody can help me figure out the best way to plug the wires into the rx, and how to setup the controller.
Thanks so much for any help you can offer!
Mike

Hi,
I don't have a Devo F12E, but an 9XR with a pixhawk. I don't use either the ppm encoder as i have a ppm sum output on my rx.
But i can tell you that you have to plug :
The RX1202 AILE chan on channel 1 (as marked on the ppm encoder), ELEV on channel 2, THRO on channel 3, RUDD on channel 4.
Channel 5 is usually used for flight mode, you will have to find a 6 pos inter and send different value. (I use OpenTX mixing and use one 3 inter pos and one 2 inter pos).
Channel 6 can be used for a lot of thing, look in mission planner (for exemple, fine tune the PID value)
Channel 7 and 8 can be used for gimbal (use a potentionmeter).
Regards,
camousse

That is great information -- thanks for it. I've managed to make the physical connection via some kludging -- shown in the attached picture.
Hopefully the rest of the setup goes smoothly!
