Thanks all..
<Marty>
PS..there should be a PDF created to show how to hook these things up in my opinion...but i can't find anything on how to do so..

I would advice to take a reciever and hook it to the device and play a little
around with the software to get it to know. This rx can be powered by the analyzer.
SPI on the TX:
At first, no 5 VCC. The module is powered by the tx.
Hook the lines to the NRF. If you solder them to the pins, you are able to transfer the complete stuff to the other TX quite easy
Only GND and D0,D1,D2 and D3
DO> CSN
D1> SCK
D2> MOSI
D3> MISO
Into software, I assume this one, you will have to setup an analyzer > chose SPI and reorder the lines for D0 to D3 like shown in the picture.
Please, take your time to become aquainted with that stuff.

I have header pins on top of the cyrf module and the NRF just plugs on to them...do i just hook up the NRF with out the cyrf or leave hook them both up using the pins on top of the cyrf module where the nrf is hooked to?
this is the one i have...

The CYRF does not matter in that case.
If you do not understand what I mean, ask.
You are going to observe the communication to and from NRF.
The NRF must be connected as usual. You only pickup the signals from there
while the tx is powered on.
First try it with the Devo8, because the module is working there and then with the Devo 12.
If something is missing, you will notice it quite soon.
Do everything on both tx the same way and capture the same period, otherwise it will be harder to compare.
Edit: Have look at post #26465. It that way I would connect small breadboard wires on top on the NRF.

if i try to enable it i can't get any readings cause it stays on the module missing screen and then reboots over n over until i power it off

First of all, lower the sanpling frequence to max 4Mhz.
Then spread the timebase by clicking into the screen.
At good starting point for the sample is the moment selecting the protocol or while powering on the tx ( but this will not really help on the Devo12 because of " missing module".
Start with an empty model.ini.
Take a sample while having selected a different protocol and then
select e.g "v202" or "hisky".
Sample this moment.

To which pin did you bind CE? On the modul or to the Devo pcb?
If you soldered them all to the Devo (pcb), is it possible that you supplied
CSN instead CE with VCC on the Devo12? If yes, the state will never go to
low and the modul does not work.
....CSN is present on the Devo12 and state is "high"
Edit: Any short between VCC,CE,CSN..?

Don't know what else to try , it has to be something wrong on the pcb cause both modules work perfect on the 8 and i simply unplug them from the 8 and plug them on the 12 to the same connections and they both wont work...maybe resoldering the pins on the pcb will work..but checking them with a voltmeter they are all showing connected as should be and showing 3.3v on the vcc and the tms and tck pins ...just don't know what else it could be unless its something in quality control they missed, when i got this 12 the TH-hold switch had one of the terminals not soldered at all and i had to solder it to get the switch to work..maybe they missed something else?

Soldering a pinheader only from above is not such a good idea.
In that case you must apply more head than necessary.
Anyway you should check the trace.

EDIT: Checked all the pins and all have good connection to traces on the PCB...

All signals are present on the 12 but no change on the CSN (TMS/TCK ??).
There should be at least one pulse when selecting the modul or power on the TX.
