Devo 7e USB problem! was created by Tom
Hi,
I have a problem with my Devo 7e and DeviationTX.
From time to time my USB flash just stop working.
The drive is still shown but it looks empty and DeviationTX won't work any longer.
This happened several times now immediately after I used the USB connection to exchange model data between my computer and the TX.
And it don't work just to copy all the files from deviation to the TX flash drive again.
It isn't even possible to reformat the drive.
The only cure I could find so far is to go back to the original firmware and then completely fresh install DeviationTX once again.
Very annoying!
Any idea or has anybody else encountered the same problems?
By the way I tried the last official version 4.0.1 as well as several of the nightly builds meanwhile.
Kind regards,
Tom
PS: A new stable build was announced about a month ago by PhracturedBlue. Any ETA for that yet?

What do you mean with "DeviationTX won't work any longer"?
And how do you cure it?
I see 3 (maybe 4) possibilities:
1.) defective USB cable
2.) corrupted filesystem on your TX
3.) some strange behavior of your PC
4.) defective TX

in case 2.) this might be the easiest.Tom wrote: The only cure I could find so far is to go back to the original firmware and then completely fresh install DeviationTX once again.

Hi linux-user,
thank you for offering your help.
But I think I meanwhile figured it out myself what was wrong in my case.
As it looks the source of this problem was a faulty A7105 XL7105-SY-B 2.4G Wireless Transceiver Module I had installed.
After removing it completely from my TX I now immediately was able to simply reformat the flash drive and copy all the DeviationTX content back to it without need of the whole firmware reflashing procedure I described above. And since that it runs flawless up to now. (Fingers crossed! )
