Buddy Box with Dx5e and Devo 10

I picked up an older model Dx5e (DSM2 version) and the accompanying trainer cable. I tried connecting it to my Devo 10 and turned PPM in to Channel and set the switch to Elev DR1. I tried watching the channel output and the curves don't move (haven't actually tried it when bound to a plane but assume if there is no channel output it won't work). I tried setting another mixer in the aileron and turning the switch to Elev DR1 and setting that to channel 1 hoping the PPM in channel 1 would then control the aileron but that didn't work. Any suggestions on how to program it so the PPM in is recognized and I can use the Dx5e as the slave? I would also be fine if it was the master if that is easier.

Making the Dx5e the master is easier. Just set the protocol to PPMOUT, and use 4 channels.Those will be sent to the Dx5E, and you just turn it on as you would for any other slave connection.

Hard to say what's going on with the 10 as a master without seeing the model.ini file.
