Really basic and probably stupid question! was created by aritchie71
Hi guys, I have been trying to get one of the model configuration files onto my Devo 10 because I am about to set up my 650 quad and there is the exact configuration file already been posted. Every time I click on the file name with the ini. it opens up a notepad file with the text for the config. How do I get this onto my Tx into the template folder so that I can use it?
Really sorry for asking a stupid question but I am starting to lose my mind and patience with it lol!

Regards,

Andy.

Plug in devo in USB mode and it will load as a removable drive.

Rename your file to standard naming ("Model1") and drag and drop it to the model directory. Confirm the overwright.

ok thanks for that, just to confirm, I open the ini file and then save it as model 1 and then drop it into the models folder on the Tx?
Sorry for being a pest, I have been in the hobby for years but multirotors are very new to me and I don't think I have ever downloaded anything from here other than the Deviation firmware lol!

Andy.

when I click the link it opens the file on another internet tab, do I need to open model 1 on the Tx and then copy and paste the stuff from the new tab into the model 1?
Really sorry lol!

Right click the link and choose "Save As" it should then download it.

Do not use Notepad - download and use Notepad++ for editing ini files.

Just copy over the file from the download directory to the USB model directory.

No need to open the downloaded file and choosing save as.
Well of course that works too if you save it in the USB model directory.

However be careful with Windows line feeds / character code.
