Devo10 Timer Alarms after upgrade to deviation 5.0 was created by karla
Hello,
I am a very happy user of deviation on my Dev010 transmitter (installed 4.0 long ago).
This weekend I finally upgraded to version 5.0. Followed the instructions and had no issues at all. I copied back my Model files from a backup. Also worked fine. However, I noticed that the different Timers are still there correctly but the Alarms (the buzzing sounds) are not.
How can I get the alarm sound back when, for example a countdown timer reaches 0?
Thanks a lot!
Karl

... Just want to add the Buzz volume is set to 10 on the transmitter.
And also tried making new models and add a Timers with countdown function, but it just do not want to beep when reach 0.
Thats pretty serious ... like the whole point to tell when the time is up without taking your eyes off of the Heli. Agree?
Any ideas?

Do you have a proper sounds.ini file in the media folder, and has that sound settings for the appropriate timer event?

...also do the other sounds work, for example when you turn the TX on?

Thank you for the reply.
No sound what so ever from the TX. I usually made a beep when power on.
But not now.
I have not checked any sound.ini files since I just assumed they would be uploaded in version 5.0.
How to check if such file is proper or not?

Looks proper.
Can you check the line ends if it is LF (i.e. Linux style as it should be) or CRLF (i.e. Windows style which is wrong)?
However is that the content of your TX's USB drive?
There shouldn't be zip, dfu, exe and dll files on the TX.

oh,
Yes, if you look at the picture I uploaded I think all those files are there - to the way left.
Sorry I dont know how to check the LF at the end but I have uploaded the file here so maybe you can be kind enough to check for me?
Best
K

The file is fine.
Try to recreate the filesystem from a fresh download, but don't forget to backup xour model files and icons...
You dont need to copy the zip, dfu, exe and dll files, but only the tx.ini, hardware.ini, errors.txt and datalog.bin file, plus the folders of course...
