Devo 10 buttons and trims beep but do not function

My Devo 10 is not working. It turns on but all of the buttons and trims beep but do not have any effect on the screen. IE, no menu etc. The screen shows the percentages for the stick actions buit that's it. Anyone know how I might diagnose this or have a fix for this? I really need to get this working and I'm stuck.

I found a short on 2 of the pins on the stm32f103 vtc6 chip. Could someone please tell me if they are supposed to be shorted? Could this be the problem?

I'm not sure the data sheet i found is correct but this one shows them being pins 19 VSSA and 20 VREF

Maybe someone has a Devo 10 open could take a peek and tell me if they are shorted on thiers. They are at the top left of the tx.

Pin 20 is VREF- so it makes sense to be connected to Vss.

Will the tx boot into DFU or USB modes (EXT or ENT pressed at power-on)? That would indicate if those two switches are working or not.

I was able get it into dfu mode once and I updated the firmware to a nightly but the problem still remains and I haven't been able to to it again.
