Jumper t8sg plus v2 voice and buzzer not working

sorry for my stupidity, so like a short? Then it would be hardware yes.

It is call pull down, but I think in this case a short to ground would work.

I received my Jumper T8SD Plus carbon and it doesn't make any sound at all. I wonder what good are alarms if I can't hear them.
Is this normal?
Also it came with a plastic piece marked as "Sound chamber DIY".
Does it means I have to tinker with it to add sound?
If yes, could anyone point me to the instructions?

It has the electronics for voice but no SD-CARD. You need to get an SD-CARD, a small one is fine, and follow the instructions outlined in the voice mod tutorial which you can find in the WIKI section. You need to download the voice files, put them on your SD-CARD, you then need to copy the sound.ini and put in on the main radio flash drive and you need to modify the hardware.ini file. Then your voice will work.

CAUTION !!!! Do NOT use a MAC, ONLY a windos machine. A MAC will corrupt your radio flash.

What Propnut said. I had an issue but it was simply me not deleting one of the semi-colons in the hardware.ini file. If you follow the Wiki instructions all works. You will also have to tell the radio what sounds to use for each switch. All easy though.....

I did that and everything is working fine.
I can select which voice is activated by which switch or timer or what ever.

You have to go in the model setup at the bottom where it says voice. You then have to select each switch position and assign the speech you want.

What exactly did you do to get your sounds to work. I just received the t8sg plus carbon and I also get no sound at all...nothing. I checked the .ini files and they seem to be fine.

The Carbon does not come with an SD-Card. You need to get one and then install then follow the instructions given in the wiki section in order to put the voice files on it and modify the relevant files.

I didn't realize there was an SD slot. I followed the instruction, put in a card and it worked!! Thank you.
