channel mix help.. was created by magic_marty
i can't seem to get a channel mix created that i want to try so i thought i would post here to see if anybody could help me figure out how to do this...
i just want to make a channel mix that when the throttle stick is raised it also moves the rudder...i have tried for hours and i can't get this to work...no matter how i set it up when i raise throttle the rudder channel does nothing on the graph screen...
could somebody please explain step by step how to setup a rudder to throttle mix?
thank you..

Program mixes should be done as the slave channel, in this case the rudder.
Make the rudder's mixer a complex one.
The first page should handle the normal rudder operation, for example:
switch=none, mux=anything, src=RUD, curve=1-to-1 (or expo if you like), scale and offset as needed, but they are probably at default.
On the second page can set the switch if you want your mix switchable, mux=add, src=THR (or whatever stick you would like it to depend), and the curve should be one of the 3-13 point curves setup properly dependent of throttle as the X axis. You can also scale and/or offset, but if you used some curve, you probably defined the exact value needed anyway...

thnak you so much for explaining , i ran down 2 battery packs trying to get it to work..i see now what i was doing wrong after you explained it and i will give it a try and see how it goes...reason i wanted the mix is on the brushless Genius CP the tail blows out a tad on hard pitch pumps and i remember i set up a throttle to rudder mix in the devo and it made the blow outs a lot less noticable...

ok i got the rudder to throttle mix working but i originally had my rudder D/R set up on the rudder and i had to remove the D/R to set up the R>TH mix...i did set the mix to 4 pages and tried to add the D/R and it works only on H rate as soon as i flip the switch to low rates i loose the R>TH mix...i am using the gear switch as the D/R switch ...how can i have more then one mix on the rudder without them affecting each other? or is there another way to set up the D/R using one of the virtual channels were it wont affect the R>TH mix?
thank you so much for your help..

It all depends on the order of mixer pages, and the mux type (we could call it "operation").
I would say set the DR settings first: they replace each other, then the next page(s) only add the throttle mix to that...

ok i tried it as 4 page mix
page 1 switch Gear src Rud curve expo mux replace scale 100
page 2 switch Gear src Rud curve expo mux replace scale 55
page 3 switch none src Rud cueve 1-to-1 mux replace scale 100
page 4 switch none src Thr curve 3 point mux add scale 100
page 1 and 2 is for the D/R and page 3 and 4 is the rudder to throttle mix
the rudder to throttle mix works but i have no D/R but it does still work when i flip the Gear switch but the rate stays 100%
any idea what i did wrong?

yay i got it working...i only needed 3 pages to make it work..
page 1 switch=gear src=rud curve=expo mux=replace scale=100H
page 2 switch=gear src=rud curve=expo mux=replace scale=55L
page 3 switch=none src=thr curve=3 point mux=add scale=100
i am so happy i got it working and it definatly helped me learn how to use the mix better...
thanks you again..

I think your first page doesn't need a switch...
