Failsafe - Devo 10 / Rx1002 / Openpilot Revo was created by Wregwreg@gmail.com
Hi!

I paired it my Openpilot Revo Board with a Walkera RX1002 (Devo 10 transmitter - PWM). Everything works fine except that it does not detect Revo the RX turning off.

"Data Objects>ManualControlCommand>Channel>Cconnected" stay "True" after the transmitter swithed off.

If I turn off TX, the all pwm signal levels remain in the last state. When I unplug the RX1002, the Revo sense the signal lost state, switch to "False" state.

Does anyone have an idea?

Devo hasn't "No pulse" option for failsafe, so you need set up failsafe values at transmitter. Switch channel failsafe state to "Fail Safe" and set desired failsafe value, repeat it for every channel. If you use Deviation, set failsafe values at Mixer channel properties.

Thank You. I tried Tx failsafe, it works, but I wanted to use Flight controller failsafe.
DEVO 10 don't know the "no pulse" option or just the RX1002?

Devo protocol don't know the "no pulse" option. Probably RX1002 also don't know the "no pulse" option.

So I already understand why it didn't work out.
Does DEVO 10 know another protocol (without conversion) that know "no pulse"? Obviously using another RX.

Probably Walkera RX-SBUS receiver will work in case it will be connected via SBUS. Sbus protocol support failsafe flag. At least Walkera RX-SBUS compatible with CF and BF flight controllers.

Thanks again.

I was thinking of expanding the DEVO 10 TX with a CC2500 module and buying a Frsky RX, two of which are:
- FrSky X8R 2.4G 16CH SBUS Smart Port Full Duplex Telemetry Receiver (36 USD)
- Frsky XM+ Micro D16 SBUS Full Range Mini RC Receiver Up to 16CH (16 USD)
The first is better, but I use telemeria through the OSD, so I would probably choose the second.

I'll look at what you suggested (Walkera RX-SUSe), but unfortunately it only mentions Failsafe there, nothing specific.
I'll need more read from this RX.
