LCD Backlight and Power Saving

Somebody in China 5imx forum reported that the LCD backlight will remain on always that drains the battery. Can this be improved?

I would also like to request additional settings for back light adjustment. It would be nice to see such settings as a "dim after x minutes", "shut off after x minutes" and possibly even adjustable per model as my mini cp only has a flight time of 2-3 minutes so it doesn't make sense for it to be on for 5 minutes globally.
