Problems with devo 10 upgrade

Problem with devo10 upgrade.
I dug myself a hole and can't get out.
I have a new devo10 which I attempted to upgrade by first going to walkera.com and downloading the appropriate software and updates. All seemed ok.
Next I downloaded the latest release of deviation for the devo10. Started the software and when power up with the ext key got into programming mode.
The transmitter was recogonized and I proceded to install the update. Power down and up with the ent key and got the usb logo. So far so good, I formatted the flash disk and loaded the files
(at least I thought I got the right ones).
Powered down and tried to power up normally but all I got was a blinking background light and no
exicutable software. Went through this more than once with the same results. Is there a way to recover or do I now have a brick?
Shure hope I can get out of this.
Is it reasonable to start over with walkera updates?

Yes those are the files that I downloaded to the disk. That part seems ok.

Is it possible I formatted wrong? I used windows 8 with the default. Second I will check that I downloaded the correct files. I thought devo 8 and devo 10 were separate. I believed I got the devo 10

Problem solved. Never underestimate murphy.
The disk was formatted ok. However I made a slight bo bo in copying files. I copied a full directory structure and put the files in a subdirectory.
Moved them to root and all is well. Yes I read that but somehow forgot what I was doing. Cut and paste can bite you when you least expect it.

You have to have 5 directories and 1 file (tx.ini) in the root of the USB drive.
