Getting a Devo 7 to work with a dsm2 receiver? was created by Scott45044
I know I have read that there is no intention of supporting the Devo 7. Does that mean that these upgrades will not work at all, or just not supported? I would just like to be able to use my Devo 7 with some inexpensive dsm2 receivers in a 5-ch airplane application.

Hi Scott45044.
As the Devo 7 has no USB port and some other shortcomings it will not be supported in the foreseeable future.
Sorry for that
If your buget is low then have a look at the new Turnigy 9XR .
I think the cheapest supported Walkera TX is the Devo 10... as the Devo 7E is also not yet supported (thanks Tom_ate for this hint).
Kind regards

...but be aware that the Devo7E is also not supported from DeViation up to now.
So at the moment neither Devo7 nor Devo7E is able to bind with a DSM2-Receiver.
But as far as the topics show the chance of a future support of Devo7E are much higher than of the Devo7.
Kind regards,
Matthias

Got my Devo 7E on Friday, upgraded the firmware to 4.01 and binded successfully first time with an Orange DSM2 Rx, Just make sure the protocol is DSM2 in the transmittor menu (I think) will check tomorrow.
