Devo 7e, Nightly build, Ladybird gyro & binding was created by SilbernerSurfer
Hello,
i am using the Devo 7e with the latest Nightly build.
I can bind my QR Ladybird in the "AdvancedGUI", but i cant get the green LED mode. (Flip- or Rolling-mode)
Also i have tried to bind the LB in "StandardGUI" with bind plug.
It does not bind!
1. Connect bind plug with AUX2.
2. Connect battery with LB. Red slowly flashing.
3. Turn on 7e, enter "Bind".
4. Pull out bind plug. Red fast flashing.
No binding!
Also i tried it with 3. and 4. changed.
No binding!
Any ideas how to bind in "StandardGUI" and how to enter green LED?
Uwe

That's not a bind plug, so stop using it unless you have multiple transmitters and switch between them. With only one radio, you can have multiple configs and switch between them (if set to same Fixed ID).
Another thing is that the Standard GUI is tailored for helicopters, not multirotors or planes. I have no idea how much this affects your LB.
To get in different modes you need to change the output of a channel, but since I don't have a LB I can't tell you which one. Since you're a newbie, you should search the model config subforum and get a pre-made .ini file, study it then come back with questions.

Ok, I took a look at Tom Z's config and channel 7 is responsible for mode switching. The values are -34 and 66, dunno which mode is which.
I could create config for you and screenshot the important parts. IIRC Devo 7E only has 2 switches, so I could use HOLD for dual-rates and FMODE for mode switching.

Ok, so here's how I created the whole thing:
1. Start with and empty mode, set name, power to 30mw, and 7 channels:
2. Go to mixer.
Channels are as following:
AIL
ELE
THR
RUD
none
none
MODE
First, set dual rates for AIL and ELE:
a. Change mixer type to Expo&Dr
b. Change curve type to EXPO
c. Press ENT on Expo and set value to 25 then Save.
d. Set Scale to 50
Scroll down to Switch1
a. Select HOLD1
b. Set Scale to 90
Do the same for ELE.
3. Leave THR as is.
4. Press ENT on RUD, scroll down to Scale+, press RIGHT and increase to 125, Scale- will have the same value.
Basically this will make it have more yaw authority.
5. Leave channel 5 as it is.
6. Leave channel 6 as it is.
7. This is the channel that controls the mode. Press ENT on None
Gonna do this with a complex mixer, just to show you it doesn't bite.
Change mixer type to Complex, and Mixers to 2:
Select Page one and:
a. Set Switch to HOLD0
b. Set Curve type to fixed, with a value of -34
c. Leave Mux as 'replace'
Select Page 2:
Config curve as above, but set Scale to 66.
Save and you're done. Easy peasy.

With my skills i never would find out to realize this.
THX a lot!!!
Also THX to Vlad_vy!
I cant bind because i never deleted the fixed id.
Now i did, and it is binding now.

Glad I could help!
And did one mistake above, on channel 7 instead of HOLD0/1 should be FMODE0/1, to allow you independent rate and mode switching.
