I'm sure PB's work has something to do with it. A small acknowledgment would probably be in order from their part, but that's wishful thinking I guess :)

HK has done this before with other Tx, Rx and modules without ever acknowledging the creator.

That's very low and cheap from HK, in my book.

I guess they might sell a few to 9x/9xR/JR owners who don't want another radio.
Here is an open source module along similar line with potentially more features...

I guess it's inevitable that Asian manufacturers would continue coming out with stuff since the protocol info has become public.
HK is just one of many who don't acknowledge the source.

I don't see why PB's work would have something to do with this. To me it seems a module for the Turnigy 9X to make it compatible for Walkera, JR and other receivers to sell more transmitters. If this has got anything to do with Deviation, what is the relation? Coming up with a module to support multi protocols is just the next step. It was about time somebody breaks that barrier of companies only making products compatible to themselves and let us pay dearly for it. Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of HK. They do not invent things, they just buy and sell and they do a good job with that.

Somewhere, some company saw an opportunity to make a multi-protocol module and sell it through HK. Nothing wrong with that and good for this hobby.

I guess the next step is that someone makes a completely open source radio, supporting every possible protocol. :cheer:

PB was first to do what he did :)

Now I can't say for sure they used the source PB published, but you can't find it anywhere else just posted up for grabs.

In the end, probably that module isn't fabricated by HK itself, I'm sure it's just rebranded stuff, so they don't have true control over what's going inside.

Still, I hope I'm wrong and PB gets royalties from this :))
