Hey folks, wanted to bounce this idea off you all to see if it sounds useful.

I've finally switched to a rechargable NiMh pack in my Devo 10 so I'm having to keep more of an eye on battery life now so I don't run low while flying.

We all have timers configured for our models, does anybody else think it would be useful to have a TX timer too?

I'm thinking something that works like the permanent timer, but linked to the radio rather than any one model. This could count up or down as needed, and you could display it next to (or in place of) the battery voltage meter, giving you an idea of how much flying time you have left before the TX needs recharging.

But current consumption is dependent from many conditions, not only if I am controlling a bird. To point out the two most important:
- transmit power
- lcd backlight
For me the voltage is a good (and accurate) indicator to see if I have to recharge, much better than a timer could be.
