The cost of increasing the number of switches is actually quite significant for Walkera.
I can't see them using our method of treating a switch as a button, and the current MCU doesn't have enough pins available to support more switches as I recall. I think that leaves you needing to completely redesign the main-board, which has a real cost to Walkera for non-obvious gain.
Enabling 100mW mode would be a very minor manufacturing change
Replacing the MCU with a STM32F103RCT6 would add ~$1 to their BOM cost and would allow us to continue expanding the 7e into the future.
Both of these would be huge benefits to us.
Note that either of these changes requires going through FCC certification (which costs > $10000 from what I hear) so even minor retooling has a significant fixed cost associated with it.
If they were to make a more sizable change (like adding extra switch support) they might as well take the Devo6e, put the devo7e screen in it and sell it for $20 less. given that the difference in BOM cost is only a couple bucks (if that), they'd need to balance increased sales for reduced profit. i don't know how that calculation works out, but I'd bve surprised if it were in our favor.

Probably it is still worth a try. I'm sure Walkera sold a shitload more gear due to what you accomplished with Deviation and if they're smart they could capitalize on whatever the community whishes.
