devo 8s and windows xp

can anybody tell me how to get my windows xp computer to reconize my devo 8s from the usb hook up i downloaded all the files to do the deviation update but the computer wont talk to the remote i have the 1.4 version and the 1.7 version of the devo dfuse and the 2.0 version from walkera none work

I have connected with xp and win 7 and now vista 64 ultimate ... using defuse 2.0

I am running the latest deviation firmware 4.0.1

U do have to manually reboot after installing defuse 2.0 inorder for it to work.

WXP needs a driver before Defuse will see the TX. Choose "search internet for proper driver" when XP detects usb device - it will be found and installed, Defuse will now see the DFU.
Win 7 seems to already have the driver as it sees the TX as soon as you start the procedure.
