Devo 7e Latest Nightly - Where's USB menu item? was created by stringrazor
I did a bunch of mods on my 7e last night (range, A7150, Nrf24L01, and added a switch - just one I had on hand, a 2-pos but ran the wires for 2 switches, just didn't hook one up to anything...yet).
To enable the switch mode, I loaded deviation-emu_devo7e-v4.0.1-1e2cebf.zip. Everything seems to work but "USB" is now missing from the main menu and I have to power on with ENTER to get to USB mode.
Bug or WAD???
Also, how can I tell if the new switch is working? I enabled 2x2 in the ini file and tried assigning SWA and SWB alternately to GYRO sensitivy in my Phoenix model but I never see indicators move when I do a transmitter config and flip the switch.

This was a purposeful change. You can also no longer exit USB mode without shutting down the transmitter. These changes go hand-in-hand.

Was this done to save some flash ?
Because on my devo7E it is sometimes a pain to enter usb mode by power+ent. I have to fallback to the usb menu.
But if it is for the greater good and save some space, I'll live with it.

What is difficult about it? If the problem was debounce (it would enter USB and then leave quickly) that issue is resolved because it is no longer possible to exit USB mode once you enter it.

Yes it was that, I think, drive was detected then vanished and the transmitter would continue booting.
Because it was a very random issue, I never bothered much and just used the menu. I'm glad it's resolved.
