Assign a switch on Devo12s to do a specific action

Hello

I am totaly beginner and i spend my first hours with Devo 12S and deviation.
I've read deviation user manual but i can't find out how i could set / assign a switch , ie : HOLD0 to do a specific action when active.

For test purposes, i would like to have ELEV = 50% when HOLD0 switch is manually activated.

Can someone tell me where this should be configured and how to proceed ?

I've tried to follow your advice, but nothing happens when i switch HOLD0 on, on the channels view.

Ch6 has been assigned to HOLD0

Here is what i did so far, did i missed something ?

Now, when i manually activate the switch on Ch6 to 'HOLD0' position, the channels view show HOLD0 = 50%

But Ch1 that is elevator does not get changed and stays as it is.
I though ELEVATOR channel would also be set to 50% , but looks not .

Is this normal ?

Now i have questions coming up :

What kind of interrest could we get to have a Channel different from the its source ?

I mean :

In '1-ELE' we usually set Src to 'ELE'
what would happen if '1-ELE' as Src set to 'THR' ?

I tried, but then nothing happens.

In EXPO&DR 2 switches can be assigned.

Now, i'm now to use a regular stick ( ie ELE) and also assign ONE switch position (ie HOLD0) to set ELE at specific value.
This works fine.

If i try to assign a second switch in EXPO&DR at another specific value, then the stick no longer works, only the 2 switches work.
Can you tell me why ?

Is it possible to assign to a switch position something like a macro or a sequence of commands that would, for example, let the model to perform a half turn or a defined tricky move ?
