Hello all,

I've a little question about walkera RX802 (binded with my devo 8S)

What happens if i lose the signal from my devo 8S?
The RX save the last command and send it continuously to the main controller or stop to send all commands?

'cause i try to set the failsafe settings of my quadX on multiwii mega, but nothing happens, like if the RX is always sending the last received command.

Is there a way to change that?

Set 'failsafe' at channel properties.

thank you Vlad !

i found the answer by reading the manual... page 30 !

is it possible to set a value below -125?

'cause -125 equal 1005 min throttle value in my multiwii but to activate the failsafe mode i need a value below 985 (-130 on RX)... grmbll or i need to change values in the multiwii code an another possibility.

Probably you need change 'Limit' below -125 first.

you can set a 'limit' value below -125 (-140 in my case) but can't set a failsafe value below -125 (failsafe value must been between -125 and 125)

at this time i've uploaded my sketch on multiwii with a failsafe value of 1005us (default is 985us) and set the failsafe value on throttle @ -125 (min value).
when i switch off TX, the RX send 1002us to multiwii and activate the failsafe condition
That's work but it's too close the normal condition (1015us when TX is ON and throttle idle)
I'm afraid the failsafe occurs when it should not be!

An another possibility is to set the RTH condition when the RX is off, but in this case you need a good GPS signal and set a home point before any flight!

Is it possible to change the code for the failsafe value follow the 'limit' min value or possibility to set this failsafe value in the same range that the 'limit min' range?

i'm a noob on deviationtx, and discover all incredible possibilities of this firmware...

I can't check it for sure, but I would try to increase the scale values of the throttle channel to say 150% while leaving the fail safe value at -100%.
This should make the fail safe value lower, however it will expand the throttle range too, so you should decrease the the scale value of the throttle's mixer function to say 67%...

Hello,

Thanks for all replies :)

Finally i made another settings:

1. I set 985us (like defaut) in my sketch for multiwii for the failsafe value.
When the RX is powered off (like a technical problem on power supply) the failsafe value is up and the quad land on the ground.(Very small probability)

2. On the TX, I set a failsafe value on the RTH switch. So when the TX is suddenly switched OFF, the RTH value is up and it go home. (Safe & secure) wish i have a good GPS FIX...

3. an alternate possibility is to set a failsafe value on throttle, to force the quad landing slowly on the ground to prevent damages. But if i flight above water it's too dangerous :p

When i flight above water i double check the GPS fix and set n°2, when i flight elsewhere i set n°3

Just for the fun i'll try "FDR" solution when i've time...

Thanks @ all
