About to install 2nd module

Just opened CC2500 package from Banggood (the blue-surprisingly-tiny shieldless one)
Walked around my country's largest electronic market but U-FL connector is nowhere to be found.

Is it ..."fine, no problem"... to just solder coaxial cable onto the module without connectors?(Does proper connectors give better signal?)

Oh and my old DEVO10 is giving poorer and poorer range and inconsistent bind (no module mod). Is this 100% caused by bad CYRF? If yes, I know what to do
