I need some help was created by Stefanp88
Hi everyone.
I'm new here.
I'm 27 years, and I'm been flying fit almost a year now. And I'm from Denmark :-)

I've just bought a devo 7e. And a A7105 and a NRF module.
This is my first time with a real transmitter. :-)

I need some help, how to wire the A7105 module. There are so many different wire methods, and I'm really confused.:-)

Does a specific wire method only works with a specific firmware?

I'm gonna use it with my Hubsan's.
And I'm thinking I'll just start with the A7105 module, and later maybe solder in the NRF module.

I can't really find a step by step method what I need to do. Hacksmods homepage is so confusing. :-)

Can one if you maybe give me some answer what to do, and how to do it? :-)
And maybe direct link, to the things I need?

Thanks
Stefan

Welcome to Devo, this is one of the most confusing aspects of the documentation for new people right at the moment...

The official answer is to use the official documentations wiring instructions with the official release, if you want to try and run a nightly built you can use the alternate wiring (which will also help save battery power by only turning on the TX of the module you're currently using).

Note there's only a difference if you're using power amp modules, if you're using basic modules there is no difference as the simple modules dont have a TX enable pin to be switched on/off.

Thanks for the answer :-)

So if I'm not wrong could this be a method to wire it?

And I need to solder in the module, before I install the software?

Just to be clear.

That's correct for the official release. However I recommend using the latest nightly build as those are stable and have many fixes. If you use the nightly build you should connect RXEN to GIO2 and TXEN to GIO1 as documented here .

I would install the software, make sure that's working, install the module without editing the .ini file (which one depends on which version of the software you're using), make sure that's working, then edit the .ini file to enable the module and test it.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

I solder in the A7105 last night.

It was pretty easy, and I got very shaky hands. I've hot glued the wires on the module, and wrapped in electrical tape, just to make sure I won't short. I didn't have any shrink tube, so that was the next best thing I could came up with.
And hot glued it in, so I won't rattle.
