Devo 12s nrf24L01 Install was created by Mick1113
Hello, I am a noob and I just got a walkera devo 12s. I was wondering if anyone can provide the proper instructions to install the module and which nrf24L01 I need. With antenna or without antenna. I found one on Amazon that reads arduino compatible, is the one on the attached picture and another with antenna and I need to know if that will work. I will greatly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

This is the one I just successfully installed into my Devo 10. Works great so far.

Thanks. I'll check that one. How did you installed the antenna?

I realize now I should have taken a picture. The wiring for the module goes down from the board to the module, which is placed under the "cage" that holds the gimbals. The antenna (with the outer black plastic sleeve removed) is mounted parallel (on its side, not straight up and down) under the module -- so it sits right above the battery compartment. This shouldn't affect RF propagation, since the transmitter is pretty much transparent to the radio signal. The batteries could block the signal, but they're directly below the antenna when you're holding the transmitter and flying, so that won't be a problem. As long as I keep the transmitter pointed in the general direction of the multirotor, and don't fly directly to my right or left, the multirotor will stay out of the antenna's null zone.

YMMV, since mine's a Devo 10 and yours is a Devo 12.
