Devo 6S wonky-- help pls!

My rather new devo6s just acted up tonight. I was trying to copy models and I suddenly get beeping sounds and the signal bar started to flash.
I switched off the radio and switched it on and I get a warning page that tells me one of the channels is -3% or something. Then my stylus stops working. I can get to a model page by using the buttons and that also is limited.
What is going on? I hardly use this radio and have never dropped it or damaged it. It was modded by an experienced friend and was working fine for the last few months when I did use it.
Please advise. TIA!
Cheers,
Z

Try to reformat, and copy back the filesystem.
Do you have a backup of you model configs?

I plan to get fresh batteries today. Is there a guide on how to rescue firmware and reload stuff please?
Cheers

I must have corrupted the files. Anyone with some rescue file and a guide on how to bring back my radio please?

Take a look into them, if they seem all right.
Post the tx.ini, hardware.ini, and a modelXX.ini if you are not sure...

I tend formatted the radio and copied a fresh set of files from devo to the radio.
Now, my radio is functioning properly, i can navigate menus with the stylus etc.
However, I found that I am missing the quadcopter diagram and menu choice and I don't see some protocols. DSM2 and DSMX, Frsky protocols are all missing from the menu. My hubsan protocol has a *in front of it.
Is this another mod or step I need to do?
Cheers,
Z

Nevermind the multirotor mode, because it is the same as the airplane mode, but you may miss some new protocols and features.
If you want them back, upgrade to the newest nightly build, just like you did with this one...

I just downloaded the latest nightly build and I got my MR icon back and it appears a lot more protocols as well.
I notice my hubsan protocol has a * in front of it. Any significance here? Ditto for Frsky. My radio have been modded to allow me to run both these protocols specifically.
Also I can't seem to change the tx power as before, it keeps "default".
Now problem is I can't seem to bind the radio to my toy hubsan.
Am I missing a step?

You probably have an A7105 and a CC2500 installed, if you had used the Hubsan and Frsky protocols.
The enabling lines might be exchanged, and you need to know (or try) if you have modules with power amplifier...

Ok, so I need to find those hardware.ini files? Presumably they are in the nightly FW that I downloaded?
Apologies for the all the questions. I'm a taranis user and this is my first devo radio.

You need to update the filesystem too including the protocol folder in case of the 7E.

You can copy it back to the tx now.

I lost the * in front of hubsan and when I turn on it seems to want to bind but I havent binded successfully yet.
I got my tx power option back as well.
Ok, back to troubleshooting on why it wouldn't bind with my hubsan toy.
EDIT: Problem solved. Got my hubsan flying. Many thanks again FDR!
