Estes Proto X / Hubsan Q4 how to enable lights? was created by tommet
I'm rather new at this, and my google fu has failed. I've modded a Devo 7e to control my Hubsan H107c, H107d, H107c Plus, and Hubsan Q4. They all work. But I am having a small issue with the config for my Q4. Biggest issues is that when I bind the transmitter, the lights switch off on the Q4. They do blink when the battery gets low, but flying in a dark room is a real pain without lights.
Anybody got a link to a config file that addresses this? Or can you point me to a place to get started?
Help?
Thanks!

On the Hubsan ProtoX the lights are controlled by Channel 5. Here's a snippet that should make them work. Remember to set your channels to >5.
You can do this in the Devo GUI, by going into Model Setup, Mixers and updating Channel 5. I set it to "reverse=1" so that the lights are ON when my switch is in the 0 position and OFF when in the 1 position.
Let us know if you run into problems!

Hey, that worked like a charm. (Except I had to change SW A0 to FMODE1.) Much Thanks!

Hmmm. I thought I had posted a config, but I can't seem to find it with this search. In any case here's one with light and flip control for a Devo 7e without the 3-way switches.

I added a momentary switch in parallel with FMODE1 so I can flip by just pushing the button rather than flipping a switch!
