Devo F12 FPV and PPM receivers was created by Shadowfox
Hello to all members!

I am John from the Netherlands and new into this hobby.
Forgive me if my question is stupid or already answered before.

My TX is a Devo F12 (NOT E) with FPV and my drone is Walkera QR X800.

I want to upgrade the drone with a Pixhawk PX4 FC but... the RX1202 receiver does not support PPM.
Of course its possible to add a PWM to PPM encoder but I would be more happy to upgrade to a PPM Receiver.

Is it possible to use (Bind) the DEVO F12 with PPM receivers and if yes which models will work?

I really did a lot of research but its giving me a headache.

Manuals are not clear and Walkera is not going to answer you anything as well!

Help me out guys, I would be very grateful!

Sorry for my poor English, I am only Dutch

AFAIK the DEVO RX703 has PPM.

Thanks for the tip FDR, RX703 is an option indeed, although there are not many extra channels left for
controlling the landinggear and gimbal and so on.
Actually I was hoping to find a receiver from another brand that will bind with Devo as well.
Great forum btw,

You know, the DEVO F12 is not supported by deviation, simply because it is too expensive, so neither of the deviation developers have one.
It means, that you can only use DEVO receivers, so I'm afraid the RX703 is your only option...

Good to know the pricy tag is the reason its not supported by Deviation.
Maybe its better to rest my case and accept the fact I am stuck with the RX series..
My QR X800 crashed hard after switching from autopilot to manual mode for no reason.
Thats why I wanted all the Devo electronics out.
Thanks for all help here and happy flying!

In my opinion it is not only the "pricy tag"...
Why invest such an amount of money on a 3 channel DSSS system if there are good FHSS systems on the market?
To have the FPV gear already on the tx may be at first glance a great deal, but in the end, it will restrict you.
Furthermore the Walkera system is a closed system, not open source. For fixes you will have to wait quite a while.
