help explaining what option does what

I am exploring this firmware and am kind of new. Need help with understanding this firmware and all the options. Want to understand all the features so I can build and or edit settings for my rc items. Been exploring video sites and all I find is how to install it and settings for certain models. So I need help on what does what. Also read that some models have the throttle on one side and how can I change it to the other side of the radio. Any help I would like.

I am slowly reading through three pdf you shared. With looking at it and following along on my radio I was unable to find quad copter which is what I am trying to learns the radio features off of. So just wondering if there is or was a setting I missed?

There are no special settings for quads, apart from an icon...

For my quadcopter I'm using the plane setting. This is working good for me.

That's pretty much what Sero meant by "no special settings for quads." The multirotor type is identical to the plane type, except for the icon. It was added so people would use it instead of the helicopter type. The helicopter type adds features and settings that aren't useful for anything but collective pitch quads (and if you're flying those, you better know what you're doing!), confusing users and causing questions here.
