Update your notepad++

The recent WikiLeaks of CIA documents includes information that the CIA is actively using security issues in notepad++ to spy on it's users.

The notepad++ developers have already issued an update to fix this, so you should consider updating if you aren't using the latest version.

Since we recommend that people use notepad++ to edit deviation .ini files, I feel a warning is appropriate. If a moderator could move this to announcements I'd appreciate it.

Yeah, the CIA is the only group we have hard evidence is exploiting this vulnerability. But other groups may be using it, so updating is a good idea even if you're not worried about them. Those worry me a lot more than the CIA. I'm not doing anything that might make the CIA act against me, but a criminal organization is another story.

Ah, I was misunderstood. That I'm not worried about the CIA exploiting this vulnerability because there's nothing of mine it exposes just means I'm not worried about their use of this vulnerability, not that I'm not worried about the CIA spying on people in general.
