Devo 10 won't bind using usbhid protocol

I am trying to set up my Devo 10 to use as the controller with the FPV Freerider sim.

My Windows PC recognizes the Deviation Gamepad just fine.

The problem is that I am trying to set up a model to use on my Devo 10 with Freerider using the USBHID protocol, but the tx will not bind the model.

I do have the latest Deviation installed on my tx, and have downloaded and installed the model .ini that is recommended by Freerider.

I have tried everything I know to make this work, but nothing so far.

It's probably something really simple that I'm overlooking, but I haven't found the solution yet.

Any ideas??

USBHID doesn't bind. The button in the model setup just reruns initialization. If your PC is recognizing it as a USB device, then that's working.

I've never heard of "binding" a USB device. The online FPV Freerider manual doesn't contain the string "bind", so that's no help.

So what exactly do you expect to happen that's not happening?

Ok I'm new to this so please forgive my ignorance of the usbhid model not needing binding.

Then it's something else, because I tried to work with the usbhid protocol and 'no binding'. I've opened up Freerider and it doesn't recognize the model. I don't know what else to try.

Thanks for replying. :)

I did not include the exact .ini file that I installed on my Devo 10 for the Freerider model in my earlier posts.

I've attached it with this post.

That appears to be a binary file even though the extension is .ini.

Are the channel outputs what you expect them to be on the Devo? Go into the channel monitor and manipulate the controls and see if they act like you expect. If they do, then you'd probably get more/better help in a Freerider forum.

if not, then try resetting that model.

Ok I deleted the .ini file that I'd loaded onto my Devo 10, then redownloaded it.

After copying the .ini file over onto my Devo 10, and renaming it to fit the file name type in Deviation on my Devo 10, the Freerider model showed on the tx. I must have simply corrupted the .ini file the first time I did the install. I dunno...

Loaded up Freerider and everything works...already crashed several times. lol

Now I can practice learning how to fpv without ruining my new qx90c.

Thanks for your suggestions. Got me on track to getting everything working.
